The Word of God
Oh How He Loves Us
But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8KJV)
Love is a word that we say and toss around so lightly without ever fully realizing what real love is. We look for it in all of the wrong places trying to fill a void that only Jesus himself can fill. Love can make us do some crazy things and take us places that we have no business going. We will even turn our backs on God just to hear someone say “I Love You.” We are so desperate for love and to be loved that we allow ourselves to go into relationships that we know are not good for us all in the name of love.
We chase after people and things instead of chasing hard after God, the giver of all things. But even in the midst of all of this, God chose to send His Son, Jesus to die on a cruel cross because He loved us just that much!! Even though He knew that some of us would not accept His love, He did it anyway so that we could be reconciled back to Himself. Now that is real love, a love that wants to see people saved from eternal damnation. And yet we still go whoring after other things and making them gods in our lives.
We were created to love and worship and praise our creator, the giver and sustainer of all life. He is the one that teaches us how to really love one another. His love is a genuine gift and it is there for whosoever will accept it. His love is limitless and unfathomable, it is from everlasting to everlasting and it is not based on how good or how righteous we think we are but it is based on how good and how righteous He is. His love is not fickle and it does not change every time the wind blows but it is stable and it is solid and it is unshakeable and it is unmovable. This is how much He loves us, aren’t you glad that He is not a man that He should lie and that ALL of His promises are yes and amen. I just want to encourage you to fall in love with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Allow Him to show you what real love is so that you will know how to really love someone, let Him change you from the inside out. Today is a good day to give your life to Him!!!

Praise Him For Who He Is!!!
Mark 8:29 says “And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.”
I was just sitting thinking about how people like to drop names of the famous people they know and how there is a big difference between knowing of a person and to know a person and this bought me back to this verse in Mark 8:29. People can tell you about Jesus but it becomes something altogether different when you know Him for yourself. The Bible says that we a compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses but it becomes personal when you know Him for yourself. See I know Him as the binding and final authority in all things pertaining to my marriage. I know Him as Jehovah Rapha, my healer. I know Him as a Counselor and as a mender of broken things. I know Him as a mind regulator because he continues to keep me sane in the midst of it all. I know Him as my saving grace. I know him as the rock that is higher than I. I know Him as my intercessor and Immanuel because He is forever with me.
He is the life, the Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Son of Man, Only Begotten Son, Light of the World, Messiah, Savior, The Beloved, Bread of Life, King of the Jews, The Truth, Lamb of God, Creator, Mighty God, Jehovah Jireh,
Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Tsidkenu, El Shadi, Elohim, Rose of Sharon, Dayspring, Lily of the Valley, Bright & Morning Star, Wonderful, Alpha & Omega, Grace, Mercy, Strong Tower, High Tower, Consuming Fire, The wheel in the middle of a wheel, Big Brother, The Righteous Judge, just to name a few. But who do YOU say He is? You can only answer this question if you have a personal relationship with Him. I just want to encourage you to get to know Jesus, intimately. And praise Him for who He is in your life!!! It is good to know people but NOTHING compares to you having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the one who died on the cross for your sins. Now that is a name worth bragging about!!!

Mark 10:46~52 says ~ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
We are such a needy people, we go from relationship to relationship begging for someone to love us, for someone to really see us, for someone to rescue us, we need help! Yet when it comes to God, we try to cover up everything that is broken as if He does not already know. In these verses we see a blind man by the road side and before Jesus came he was begging for stuff, temporal stuff but something changed when he heard that Jesus was passing by. There was something inside him that let him know, hey I had better start asking for what I really need and I heard that this man Jesus was the one to ask. So he started calling out to Jesus and many tried to shut him up but he called even louder Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. He kept begging and then it says Jesus stopped. How many of us know that when Jesus steps into a situation that things cannot remain the same? Next it says that they called him and it says that he stood and cast away his garment and came to Jesus. How many of us know that when Jesus calls us sometimes we have to let go of stuff that we have been holding on to so tightly? Next Jesus asked him what his need was. We have to realize that we have a need or an issue that only Jesus himself can fix. It goes back to how can God heal what we deny and how can He touch what we cover up. Bartimaeus said that I may receive my sight and then Jesus saith go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. Then it said immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus. Notice Jesus said go thy way and it says he followed Jesus in the way.
Are you too proud to beg for what you need? Not what you want but what your real need is. You know we go to Jesus for so many things but a lot of the time we don’t go to Him for what we really need. Lord please change my heart and help me to love like you love, Lord help me to forgive the way that you have forgiven me, Lord save my family, Lord have mercy on me. At your church when they open the doors of the church, does pride keep you sitting in your seat? When the choir is rendering praise unto the Lord, do we act like God has done nothing for us? Are we to ashamed to lift holy hands and praise Him with the fruit of our lips? Are we too afraid to cry out, JESUS, THOU SON OF DAVID, HAVE MERCY ON US? You know I have spent far too much time begging for things that don’t really matter and now I am begging for more of HIM, I am desperate for Jesus and I ain’t too proud to beg. Are you????Mark 10:46~52
Broken into Beautiful
Isaiah 61:1~3 says "The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."
Jeremiah 18:1~6 says "The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the Potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel."
Psalm 34:18 says "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
You know we always go to God and ask Him to break strongholds that we have in our lives but we never want to be broken. All throughout the Bible we see how God uses broken people for our good and for His glory. When you look at David, broken, the woman with the issue of blood, broken, the woman at the well, broken, the woman caught in adultery, broken and the list can go on. And God could have turned his back on each one of them but instead he loved them to himself. In all their brokenness, once they gave the pieces to Him, He restored them and gave them beauty for all of their ashes and He can do the same thing for us today. We have gotten in the habit of wearing all of these masks to try to hide our pain and our shame but God sees it and He still loves us. But until we come broken before Him with Godly sorrow we will continue to walk through this life broken and trying to fill our brokenness with all manner of things, when God sent His Son to set us free. We no longer have to walk around in bondage. God can use all of our brokenness and turn it into a beautiful ministry. I know that He has done that for me. Once I started confessing my mess and put my life in His Hands, my life has forever changed. There is so much liberty in Christ Jesus, if only we would taste and see. I found out in my brokenness that my relationship with Christ became that much sweeter because the Bible says that He is close to those who are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. God did not bring you all this way to leave you. He truly is the potter and He only wants to put you back together again. Aren't you glad about that? Aren't you glad that He is not like the world because the world likes to discount broken things and even throw them away but God likes to restore broken things and make them better than they were before. So I just want to encourage you to check into God's exchange rate, you give Him all of your brokenness in exchange for His beauty!!! Now we are talking about an EXTREME MAKEOVER!!!! To God be the glory.
