Please join me in welcoming my beautiful niece, Alisha Tillman as she will be taking over the Youth4Christ Corner!! I am so excited to see how God is going to use her to encourage our Youth!!! The Bible says train up a child in the way that she should go and when she is old, she shall not depart from it!!
Hey guys? My name is Alisha Tillman. I will be taking over the Youth4Christ Corner from now on. A brief introduction: I am a graduating senior majoring in Biology at the historical Alabama A&M University. I am 21 years old so I’m not too far from youth yearsJ. I will be posting every Friday so stay tunedJ.
I would like to first start off by thanking God for this wonderful opportunity to share the thoughts and Word He has given me. Also, thanking God for the freedom to express these thoughts. Many times throughout life, we are faced with crossroads. God was so gracious enough to allow us to have the freedom to make our own decisions. From that, we are also able to deal with our own consequences and rewards. The decision we make at these crossroads are shaped by our journey it took to get there. This is why at a young age it so important to have a strong spiritual walk.
When you are young, your life is so vulnerable to be affected by wrong decisions. Decisions that can affect the rest of your life. By having a strong faith walk with the Lord, it will help you make the right choice most of the time. Even when you do make the wrong decision, a strong faith walk can also help you in bouncing back from that.
I’ll be posting here to help with your faith walk, making the right choices and other topics.
Until Next Time…Alisha TillmanJ
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:7KJV
Being a young devoted Christian is the most threatening thing to the enemy. Since the choices you make now are so fundamental to your future, Satan will try his best to tear you down. It will come from people closest to you like your best friends, church members, or even your family.
This is why it is important to set your faith in God for He will never let you down. When everything around seems confusing and dark, God is there to help lead you through. “Walk by faith not by sight.” There will be a point in your life when everyone is against you. However, when God says “Yes” all their “no’s” will not mean anything but noise. For this reason, it is important to always talk to God. He’s always listening. Just keep the faith push to the mark.

Harvest: (n.) the process or period of gathering in crops.
“He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.” (Proverbs 10:5KJV)
People always say how being young is a time to have fun. Although that may be true to a certain extent, it is also a time to work hard and to build a future. In Proverbs 10:5 the Lord has called the youth to use their time to be productive in their future and to work towards the calling God has put on their life. In this scripture harvest was used as a metaphor. To make things more clear, I’ll give an example. When you go to school, you have the person in your class who works hard to make good grades so they can get into a good college. On the other hand, you have the person that is the complete opposite. They see school as a waste of time and money. However, they have no alternate plan which leads me to my question. What are you working towards every day? There are 24 hours in a day. What are you using those hours for? I see time like money, when we have it, we take it for granted. Have you ever got paid thinking you had all this money then you blink, and it’s gone? Now you are trying to back track, trying to figure out where your money went. We treat time the same way, but we’re young. We have our whole lives ahead of us, right? WRONG!!! Tomorrow is not promised, making today a privilege, and a opportunity.
Now is the time to put in the work because there is going to come a day when you won’t be able to do the things you used to do. You could get a planner and start by planning your day. I know it may seem extra but it works. Everyday leave at least an hour of quiet time with God. Journal your journey so you can see your progress. Always keep the faith and strive towards the mark.
With Love……Alisha TillmanJ
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. As we embark on a new year, it is a time for reflection and a time for new beginnings. Don’t forget to honestly include the Lord in your new beginnings. Some people may say it and post about it, but don’t honestly incorporate God into their new plans.
Even though the New Year is also known as a great time for “cutting people off”, don’t forget that God calls us to love one another just as He loves us. He also has told us that although we are in the world, do not be of the world. Although there have been people who have done you wrong in the past year, do not allow bitterness and hatefulness to corrupt the plans that God has for YOU!! Instead, pray for them. You do not have to hang around them, but just pray for their soul. Pray for their heart that it may be renewed and restored.
A lot of you all are asking to be blessed in 2018. Let me tell you that God sends blessings to where you are supposed to be. If YOU are not in place to receive your blessings, YOU are going to miss out. Make sure to start your New Year off right and incorporate God into your plans/life!!
Please check out the videos below, I pray that they will encourage you to TRUST GOD with all of your heart!! Be encourage and know that you can make a difference. In a world where you can be anything, be the AUTHENTIC YOU that Christ created you to be even if that means at times you have to STAND alone. Let your goal be to glorify God in all that you do and He will take care of everything else. God is truly raising up an army.
